So you want to put a tick into your Word document?

Or words with accents etc.

 

Somewhere on your computer is a file called Character map or Charmap.

· Open your hard drive

· Open Windows

· Right click on the file

· Click on Create Shortcut

· Drag the shortcut onto your desktop

· Open Character Map

· Scroll down the list of fonts until you come to Symbols

· Click on the tick

· Click on Select

· Click on Copy

· Go back to your Word document

· Place your cursor

· Click on Paste
